AFA Hosts Goalkeeper Camp

The Anguilla Football Association is elated to announce the success of its first Goal Keeping Camp in Anguilla facilitated by Gary Walker. Gary Walker is a licensed coach and coach educator from the United Sates of America. He is a distinguished camp coordinator with experience in leading a successful soccer camp and sporting academy in Maine USA. This camp targeted youths between the ages of 10 - 19, from September 2nd to 9th of September.

Best Wishes to our Women's U-20 Natinoal Team

The Anguilla U-20 Women’s National Team has departed for Curaçao from The Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport to compete in the CONCACAF Under-20 Women Championship. The team consists of twenty players, Team Manager Lenia Simpson, Head Coach Ahkeela Mollon, Assistant Coach Jevonne Vanterpool, Equipment Manager Keturah Caines, Team Doctor Dr. Frank Kofi Akowuah and Physiotherapist Kirthly Richardson. Team Anguilla will be competing in Group B against The Bahamas on Wednesday September 15th and The Cayman Islands on Friday September 17th. The Anguilla Football Association will update the public on all broadcasting details once communicated. Farewell Team Anguilla, we wish you the best of luck. We know you all will make us proud!

This summer, JNH Academy in collaboration with the Anguilla Cricket Association launched Youth Cricket Anguilla. The club's focus is to introduce the sport of cricket to the youth, while also developing and building on the fundamental skills and techniques of those who are interested in the game. The DoS is proud to support initiatives that promote and enhance the development of sports in Anguilla.

The DoS previously held the "Moving our Future" Event at the JRWP.

For this event, we invited young students from the various primary schools, to come out and participate in fun sporting activities; building comradery and physical fitness through sport.

North Hill Basketball court upgrades begin - Community, ASSB and the Department of Sports making it happen. More to come in the next few weeks!

Anguilla Boxing Association launches its gym at the Tomac Plaza. President of the Association Mr. James Victor Carty thanked the Governor’s Office for its support in securing a ring and the Department of Sports for helping make this a reality. The Gym would be focused on making Champions for Life.
